Learning about webmentions! – the portable city
Trying to get these set up on this blog nicely – I’ll have to make a few weird posts to get this working, I think, so my apologies to everyone on my RSS who might get some noise in their readers today! Reply testing! This one I want to know exactly how much text I can send around, because I want to be able to think about exactly what part of my reply should show up on someone else’s website, y’know? So I am going to be verbose in here as a test case, and we’ll see how much text can be sent, at least to my site, and will go from there. Webmentions do seem really cool this way – I can write a long reply, and excerpt a key part of it as a comment on someone else’s site, so they are invited to read the rest but I am not dumping thousands of words into their comment field! Okay this seems hefty, let’s try this.

And reply expanding will happen out here!
